TABLES: FAQ’s

  • What kind of tables can you build?

    • We build ALL kinds of tables! - Dining, Coffee, End, Sofa, Entry, Conference, Desk, name it!

    • Dining Tables are our bread and butter! The possibilities are vast! We can build very simple, elegant, and timeless hardwood dining tables to creative designs incorporating other elements such as epoxy, copper or steel into the piece to make it have its own wow factor that you can count on being truly one-of-a-kind!

  • How long does it take for you to build me a table?

    • This is one of the most common questions. Build times vary greatly depending on our current load and the complexity of your project. Having said that, most lead times vary from 2-3 months but we’ve been in situations where leads are clear up to a year! Point being, don’t wait!!! The more time you give us the better.

  • Do you build Table Bases?

    • YESSS! We do.. We build mostly wood table bases. The designs can be simple or totally custom. We have and are able to incorporate steel into the designs or build fully steel bases as well. We also source metal bases from a third party that are often much cheaper than in house built steel bases. We’ve used them for years and they are a great choice when you are trying to find places to save money in the scope of the project.

  • How much does it cost?

    • Again.. Common and also loaded question. Pricing is nearly impossible to just throw at you over a text or on the first email you send us. We will almost always have more questions to dial in pricing. There are usually many variables with pricing a wood top. From the size, material used, design, and build requirements. So, let’s talk about it! But if you’re just dying for a price range I’ll go ahead and throw one in for ya $500-$25000. Hope that helps:)

  • How is it finished?

    • While we offer several finishing options for wood tops, the most common finish we use is a hardwax. While a hardwax finish is not the most durable finish in the world, it is one of the most beautiful, natural, lush, and easiest to maintain. We would love to explain that further when we get to that point. We also offer spray varnishes such as conversion, marine spar, and polyurethane for more commercial grade durability with a slight sacrifice in look and feel.

  • What kind of wood should I use?

    • We have several hardwood species to offer up as an option picked directly from our stock including Black Walnut, Maple, White Oak, Red Oak, Honey Locust, Hackberry, Elm, Pecan, Cherry, Sycamore, and more. If we do not have the wood species you are after, we can almost certainly source it for you.

  • Do you deliver and install?

    • YES! Local deliveries are usually free. Outside of 10 miles is $4/loaded mile. Installs are priced per project.
